Article Seven: Executive Council

  1. The Executive Council of the SAMC MFLWC, in accordance with the appropriate regulations, policy and guidance shall be responsible for the day to day functions and management of the SAMC MFLWC. The Executive Council shall also have general supervision of the affairs of the corporation between its business meetings, shall fix the hour and place of meetings, and shall perform such duties as are specified in these By-Laws.

  2. COMPOSITION. The Executive Council will be composed of four regular members. The offices of President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer will be elected by majority vote of the members present at the scheduled election meeting.

  3. ELIGIBILITY FOR OFFICE. All SAMC MFLWC members shall be eligible for office unless they have less than 12 months to an expected departure from Fort Leonard Wood. Any member failing to meet the criteria outlined in Article Five will forfeit their eligibility privileges.

  4. The Executive Council must consist of SAMC MFLWC members who will be reasonably available to attend quarterly meetings for a term of one year, and meet the eligibility as stated in Article Five.

  5. The council shall meet as often as necessary to properly transact the business of the SAMC MFLWC, but at least monthly.

  6. The Executive Council shall consist of the following:

    1. President

    2. Vice President

    3. Secretary

    4. Treasurer

  7. The terms of office shall be one (1) year, unless otherwise amended. Members may serve more than one (1) term but the president will be limited to two (2) terms.

  8. Any committee member or other member of the SAMC MFLWC may inspect all books and records of the SAMC MFLWC for any purpose at any reasonable time on written demand under oath stating such purpose.
