Article Three: General Provisions
The general purpose is to operate, conduct and carry on a non-profit organization to:
To promote the heritage, history, esprit de corps, image and professionalism of the United States Army and enhance the efficacy of the United States Army NCO Corps.
To advance the literary, educational and relevant endeavors of the United States Army within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 or the corresponding provisions of any future United States Internal Revenue Law.
To solicit, request, raise, collect, and accept contributions, donations, funds, allocations, appropriations, and gifts of money and property of every kind for the sole purpose of promoting and supporting the SAMC MFLWC and military community members in need and/or recognition as stated in the above paragraphs.
To foster public understanding and support of the SAMC.
To advance and improve the quality of life for all Soldiers and their family members of Fort Leonard Wood and the local Ozark communities.
In the event the debts, liabilities or obligation exceed available funds in the SAMC MFLWC’s treasury, the entire membership shall be liable for these debts, liabilities or obligations IAW local, state and jurisdictional laws.
The SAMC MFLWC agrees to reimburse the Army for utility expenses.
The SAMC MFLWC will neither propagate extremist activities nor advocate violence against others or the violent overthrow of the Government.
The SAMC MFLWC activities will not seek to deprive individuals of their civil rights.
